Project 35
This program specifically targets children living on and/or soliciting food on the streets of Kamina.
These vulnerable children go undernourished and are at high risk physically and emotionally. Through Project 35, we prepare delicious and nutritious meals three times a week to help decrease the incidence of malnourishment. You choose to get a sponsorship for $35 per month, but we also welcome higher pledges. You may also opt for a one-time donation of $100 and above.
How does Project 35 work?
First, children are bussed in for their meal.
Hundreds of children gather for a regular meal time each week with CORI.
Third, they listen to a motivational talk and pray.
Here you see our President Richard Kitumba giving the children a motivational speech to believe in themselves. Then, they will pray before eating.
Second, they wash up to prepare for the meal.
Everyone washes up and makes sure their hands are clean and they are ready for the meal.
Finally, they dig in to a delicious and nutritious meal.
Every week CORI helps feed hundreds of children, preventing malnutrition and supporting healthier, happier lives.
These Children Need Our Help
When we visited these children on our most recent trip, we found they had fallen victim to a serious case of malnutrition. Help us ensure they stay nourished so that they can grow and learn happily.
You can save their lives with Project 35.
$35 feeds one child for a month.
$420 covers the cost of an entire year.
