Carpentry Shop
The carpentry program provides career training, entrepreneurial skills, teamwork, mentorship opportunities, and constructive afterschool activities. Young boys attend the workshops to learn woodworking skills such as planning, measuring, squaring and cutting a board, driving nails and screws, using clamps and other basic carpentry tools. Eventually, participants learn how to build and repair furniture, such as tables, chairs, and beds.
